Bob Brinker Memorial Veterans Foundation has partnered with The Perky Nerd for their “Heroes For Heroes” program, sending donated comic books to our troops deployed overseas.
Since the comic book and collectibles shop opened its doors in April 2016, owner Tiffany Melius has collected comic book donations for the troops. Patrons can purchase or bring in comics and place them in the ammo can on the counter. With the monetary donations that we receive through our events or website, we here at BBMVF are able to cover the postage costs for shipping the comic books to our military service men and women currently deployed all over the world.
Previously, we have partnered with The Perky Nerd for a successful donation drive and knit-a-thon in the Fall of 2016. We are grateful for the support from Melius and all the store patrons for their continued support of our active military and veterans. We look forward to future events and collaborations with The Perky Nerd community.
