Bob Brinker Memorial Veterans Foundation would like to thank everyone who came out for the Gilmore Girls themed Knit-a-thon on December 3rd at The Perky Nerd in Burbank. This was the first LA-based event and we are so pleased with the result. The bucket literally runneth over with the donations of knitted hats and scarves that will be added to the donation drive items from The Marvel Report.
Thanks goes out to the Burnt To A Crisp food truck for being available for our hungry knitters.
A very special thanks goes out to Kati and Ashley of Kneady Bakery in Los Angeles for providing the geeky-themed treats. These two ladies are extremely hardworking and busy. We greatly appreciate that they took the time out to help us with this event and our fundraising efforts.
Our eternal gratitude goes to Tiffany and Alexandra (and Baby Jack) of The Perky Nerd for all of their help with this event–from promotions, to the coffee and providing us a space–we could not have done this without them. We are also selling Gilmore Girls themed items at the shop with proceeds going toward buying additional items for our homeless veterans in need.
