This weekend we received our official 501c3 paperwork approved by the IRS. And as we are approaching the 8 month marker of when Bob passed, this is a victorious milestone for our foundation but also a bittersweet moment for our family. We know he is proud of our achievements and guiding us every step of the way. We are continuing his legacy but at the same time, we would give anything to have him physically working beside us to help his fellow veterans in need.
We just added a “Donate” button to our website. All donations made to our foundation are now officially tax-deductible (YAY!). And we are in preparations for our First Annual Golf Classic on February 5th in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
We are also working on setting up our charitable Ebay account where we will auction off exclusive memorabilia collected by Kelly at all the Comic conventions she attends–i.e., San Diego Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration, Comikaze, WonderCon, etc.
We are truly excited about the official start of our foundation and we are anxious to get to work. Our veterans are true heroes and they don’t deserve to suffer. They fought for our freedoms and in turn, we are going to fight for them.
