So far, we have received 75 handmade scarves for our Knit-a-thon. Thank you to all who have participated. Let’s keep this going. We have so many homeless veterans who could use a handmade scarf this winter. We will also accept gloves and hats. You can sew, knit or crochet the items–we just ask that the items are handmade, showing these American heroes an extra bit of love and respect this holiday season.
Items can be dropped off at Bowl One Lanes in Troy, UAW Local 160 Union Hall or our VFW Menge Post 6756 in Centerline. Each of these locations can contact us in regards to picking up donations. You can also send us a message on our website or Facebook page or shoot us an email. Or you can drop them off right at your local VA, VFW or American Legion, for those who are out of state.
