It’s that time of year again. Join us for our first Los Angeles area event on December 3rd at The Perky Nerd in Burbank, California. There will be knitting, there will be Gilmore Girls episodes playing in the background and there will be lots & lots of cold brew coffee, coffee, coffee; what more could you ask for?
The event will kick off at noon and we will see how many scarves we can knit by 7pm. We are still working out all the details but we are hoping to have Gilmore Girls themed products and baked goodies for purchase. We are working on a food truck operated by Veterans to be on site to meet the hunger needs of our participants. We will also have knitting supplies and raffle prizes. We are also hoping to get some knitting teachers to help instruct those who don’t knit so anyone can come out and join in the fun. Stay tuned and we will post more details once we get some confirmations.
Last year, we received 75 scarves during our Knit-A-Thon. This year, we hope to increase that number so our vets can have a nice, homemade gift to keep them warm this winter season. We will still be collecting scarves throughout the season at The Perky Nerd and at our events in Metro Detroit.
