Last month, an Airman stationed in Germany reached out to us. This long time family friend is a part of a 60 member unit where the majority were born and raised in Michigan. Their morale is low and they would love reminders of home to help boost their spirits. They have requested specific Michigan items that they miss. So we have decided to bring back Operation Easter Basket, a project Dad started in 2007 as an effort to send care packages to our military men and women serving overseas. (more information on the flyer posted below).
We are working with the VFW Post 6756 Auxiliary in Centerline, Michigan to collect items and raise money for postage. We are also holding Sunday Brunch Buffets, starting on Easter, as an effort to raise funds. Postage is now $30 per box.
Items and monetary donations can be dropped off at VFW Post 6756, located at 25500 Sherwood Avenue in Centerline, MI.
